ROSELAND, Va. (WGME) — A Virginia-based brewery is planning to hire what it calls a "Chief Hiking Officer"

In order to be qualified, you have to love hiking and love beer.

Devils Back Bone Brewing Company says the hired candidate will have to hike the Appalachian Trail, starting in Georgia and ending in Maine.

Along the way, they'll be sharing and drinking plenty of beer.

The job comes with a $20,000 stipend, camping gear, and free travel to the start of the trail.

The company estimates the hike will take five to seven months.

It says the "Chief Hiking Officer" is expected to start their trek next year.
