On the rocks, frozen or straight-up? Take your pick because today is National Margarita Day!
Margaritas are the most common tequila-based cocktail served in the US. The margarita — triple sec, tequila, and lime juice — was created in 1938 in Mexico.
According to an online poll, 67% of people prefer frozen margaritas.
Dozens of bartenders claim to have started National Margarita Day, so it's unclear how it all began. But bars and restaurants across the country are offering deals and specials, so look out for those!
